What are Open Graph tags?
Meta tags (og:title, og:description, og:image and others) that control how a link appears when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack and many other apps.
What size should my og:image be?
1200 x 630 pixels (1.91:1) works well everywhere. Images under 600 px wide appear as small thumbnails.
Why does my old image still show after I changed it?
Platforms cache previews. Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger and LinkedIn Post Inspector (linked in the results) to refresh them.
Does X use Open Graph tags?
Yes, X falls back to Open Graph tags, but adding twitter:card=”summary_large_image” ensures a large image card.
