Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the Long Tail Keyword Tool.
Still have a question?
Email us and a real person replies within one business day.
What is a long tail keyword?
A longer, more specific search of usually three or more words, such as “seo audit checklist for small business”. Each one has less volume, but together they make up most searches and they are easier to rank for.
Where do these keywords come from?
From the public autocomplete suggestions of Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo for your chosen country. They reflect what real people search, but autocomplete does not show exact monthly volumes.
What does the popularity rating mean?
It shows how prominently a phrase appears across the three search engines. A phrase suggested early and by several engines is usually searched more often.
How do I choose which keywords to target?
Pick keywords that match what you offer, check them with our Keyword Difficulty Checker, and start with the easiest relevant ones. Group close variations on one page rather than writing a page for each.
Why are question keywords important for AI search?
People ask AI assistants full questions. Answering those exact questions clearly on your page makes it more likely to be used in featured snippets, voice answers and AI summaries.
